Streetvibe has been providing youth work services for over 20 years. The project started in Braunstone and soon expanded to cover all areas within Leicester. Over the years we have delivered a wide range of activities including street-based work, youth clubs, a mobile youth bus, one-off events, mentoring, and workshops. We now work with young people across Leicester and Leicestershire.
Believing in all young peoples abilities to grow and succeed regardless of obstacles.
To listen to young people without prejudice or rejection.
Treating all people the same regardless of their background or circumstances.
Working together to make a positive impact and help young people to reach their full potential.
Inspiring all those we work with to make a more compassionate society by choosing kindness.
Developing new ways for young people to express themselves creatively.
We believe that laughter can often help us through the most difficult of times.
Advocating on behalf of young people and instilling in them the confidence to stand up for what they believe in.
Our team of qualified youth workers can offer street based youth work for a variety of needs. Our previous work has been in response to local issues such as anti-social behaviour and to gather young peoples opinions for assessing local needs.
We have a purpose built Youth Bus that can be taken directly to specific areas. The bus has DJ equipment, games consoles, iPads, and more. The bus can be used for weekly sessions as well as one-off events and bookings include 3 qualified youth workers.
We have a proven track record of starting and running youth clubs. Our team have been doing this type of work since the inception of the project and have managed local youth clubs for over 15 years. We can also offer support for organisations looking to start their own youth clubs.
Streetvibe work with young people on a one to one basis to help them improve their lives. We work with all young people and can help by listening as well as offering practical solutions to issues such as housing, finding employment and signposting to relevant services.
Our workshop is currently offered to schools , colleges and local youth clubs. The workshop is aimed at tackling far-right extremism however it covers other issues including online safety, the political spectrum as well as offering young people a chance to speak freely in an open environment.
We have a strong history of empowering and providing young people with a voice in their community. Our youth panel groups have always played a large role in shaping our work and creating new delivery methods such as with our interactive workshops.
We love to talk to funders in person so we can get a better idea of needs and how we can help.
